Opus is involved in providing station upgrades for London and the South East’s newest high frequency, high capacity railway: Crossrail.

As Crossrail will have a significant impact on capacity once opened, the upgrades will ensure stations can cope with the increased influx of travellers.

In conjunction with Buckingham Group Contracting, Opus will upgrade three existing overland stations – Seven Kings, Manor Park and Ilford. The stations will remain operational throughout the works, requiring quick delivery timeframes and demanding construction constraints.  As part of the refurbishments, Opus will provide structural inspections and design, topographical surveys and bridge inspections and assessment, whist JSA Architects will be working on Opus’ behalf to undertake the architectural design.

Works are programmed for completion by August this year, contributing towards Crossrail’s aim of completing all Station Engineering and Civils work by 2018.
