Opus is part of Network Rail's Civils Assessment Framework

The team’s philosophy is about working smarter, which is credited to efficient use of resources, programming, cost monitoring and maximising delivery outputs.

The Opus team is appointed on the London North Western Route. Working for Network Rail, the team has completed their first year of their Control Period 5 (CP5) allocation of structures.

As a result of a focused and determined effort, the year 2 allocation has doubled and the team is now a 30+ strong global team. The framework involves delivering inspection and assessment work on bridge structures, as well as other assets on the London North West and Wales route.

In Year 1, 294 bridges/structures were assessed, all of which were completed on time and delivered within budget. A full understanding of the client’s need is heightened by Opus having staff embedded in Network Rail’s offices, therefore making this a truly collaborative partnership.

Every stage of the CAFA works have been subject to technical review to ensure the highest levels of engineering excellence; from technical briefings, through to site-facing data collation and the completion of structural assessment.

The Opus CAFA team are always seeking opportunities to improve deliverables, drive efficiencies and maintain our commitment to health & safety, which is at the core of all our Rail services.

Benefiting from strong leadership, Opus' CAFA project has a dedicated management team leading from the front to ensure consistent high delivery standards both on site and in the office.
